Wormwood Island

A dozen miles or so from the stony shores of Silverleaf sits twin islands nicknamed "The Blackfly Islands". Wormwood, the eastern island, is barren and full of grey soil. The only plant-life growing are malformed birch and willow trees: gnarled, ugly things that sprout red leaves under a full moon. Not many people live on Wormwood aside from hermits who rarely leave their crumbling shacks. Even pokemon are scarce; only ghost and abormally large bug types live comfortably. Scattered along the island are human sized, stone statues of unknown origin, and abandoned warehouses.

Most travelers do not stay long after visiting the gym. Those who do claim to hear terrible shrieks and yowls from the warehouses, but when they investigate, they never find anything.
